Runaway Saws was established in 1990 by Jeff Klatt. He has been doing them since as not only a performing artist but also as a means of helping charity events and other venues that need his talented artistic designs.

Some of the various awards Jeff Klatt has received from his chainsaw art include:

•2006: 3rd Place: Quick Carves, National Chainsaw Sculpting Invitational, Hackensack, Minn.

•2006: 5th place overall — NCSI

Jeff uses about 16 different Stihl chainsaws to produce these large works of art. Several hours are spent on each to get the details just right.

Stihl USA, Mississippi Valley Stihl, and your local Stihl dealers have made it possable for Jeff to attend this years Riverboat Days Event. He will be carving each day for several hours to come up with 10-12 carvings that will be auctioned off on Sunday at 7:30pm. 1/2 of the money raised from the auction will be donated back to the Clinton Fire Department to help with their Smoke Detector Program where the goal is to make sure every home in Clinton has a Smoke Detector. Please come out and support your local Fire Department by bidding on these wonderful chainsaw works of art.
